Alex Malcolmson is a British artist, born in 1955 in Shetland, who trained in drawing and printmaking. Over the last 10 years, he has shifted to box constructions, influenced by Joseph Cornell. He has an exhibition slated for this year in the UK and I thought readers may enjoy some of the delicate and nautically themed pieces from that exhibition. He makes use of markers, birds and decoy making as part of his art process, and I've been an admirer of these sweet pieces for some time.
Burn brightly, Pete
