The coathanger is still as imposing as ever...
Airport lounges are as bland as ever - boring the world over, with an unimaginative sameness to them. More and more they are taking on the semblance of shopping and food malls; NSW Rail seems to be better organised, more efficient and less costly than QR; Thank God for JS Bach who got me through Monday.
I've arrived home to a pile of mail: a Taschen book to replace the one stolen by an ex-student; several DVDs from Singapore of films released only weeks ago in Australia; A doctors bill for a lengthy 45 min chat (an argument about medication and why I shouldn't be making drastic changes to my current circumstances); as well as an unmade bed which I will very shortly crawl into as is; an infected leg (another medical expense possibly); and a pile of unmarked essays.
What was that quote? - "To travel hopefully is better than to arrive".
Burn brightly, Pete
