Susana Beibe is an Argentinian ceramicist concerned with sculpture of torsos and heads as part of her examination of identity and destiny. She has been influenced by cubism and her works are large explorations in clay of the human form.
Recent works have expanded her repertoire and she has become more expressionistic, but her earlier pieces are particularly striking. Her website of course is in Spanish but is well worth a visit to see the extent and range of her work.
Burn brightly, Pete
