Hyperealist

Jeff Ramirez has steadily been establishing himself as an emerging new talent in hyperealism - an artform that has been slowly regaining popularity, in part due to the web. Ramirez’ paintings (yes folks -these are paintings, not photos) are like freeze-frames, capturing subjects in moments that reveal their vulnerability and unease.  The hyper-realistic nature of Ramirez’s work creates a harshness in his paintings, amplifying emotions and pulling viewers in.  Check out more of his work at his website.

Burn brightly, Pete
