Mike & Stacey

I've known Mike since he was 7 years old. He married an American girl he met when he was working in the US a few years ago and Stacey quickly became a part of our lives with her infectious laughter and optimistic take on life. They travelled the world together, worked and played hard and loved big. Last weekend, a friend wrote their story in the Sunday Mail and told the world of Stacey's 2 year fight against Motor Neurone Disease and Mike's unwavering commitment to her. Last year, Mike, also 29, quit his teaching job to be her full-time carer. Pre and post diagnosis, their love affair is the stuff of fairytales. If you missed the story, its here.
