Time and Place

Porsche Design unveiled a new watch “Porsche Design P 6520 Compass Watch” inspired by their first Compass Watch, created by Professor Ferdinand Porsche in 1978. “The P 6520 Compass Watch comes in two parts: the upper part is a three-hand watch. The lower part of the watch opens to reveal a liquid compass that can be easily removed. The watch is available with a compass for both the Northern as well as the Southern hemisphere. In order to find one’s bearings with this instrument, a scratch-resistant mirror has been installed on the rear of the watch part and on top of the compass. When opened, the two mirrors click into place at 45 degrees.” The piece is limited to 911 units.

A foldable desk, complete and universal, created by American designer Patricia Tait in collaboration with Mary-Anna Bowen and Grayson Byrd, designed to meet the different needs of students, compatibly with limited and changing availability of living space and features to help disabled people. Sheep Shelves

A great idea - cardboard sheep shelving. I've long been a lover of cardboard for alternative uses in construction such as furniture - why not use cardboard for protoyping different design forms in furniture in situations like classrooms or waiting rooms for temporary relief as we do in polling booths? So here's an alternative for shelving - why sheep? Who knows!
