Barbara Cole
More re-worked polaroid photos from The Painted Ladies series by photographer Barbara Cole. Self -taught, Cole established herself with a dazzling and meteoric career in fashion photographer and fine art. These are just some of her manipulated polaroid photographs where she has reworked images with a variety of techniques using friction, flame and freezing to alter the images:

Painted Ladies
With the demise of the Polaroid camera, an art form also came to end. Painted Ladies is a series of physically manipulated polaroid images by self-taught artist Barbara Cole. Initially inspired by a large Lucien Freud painting, Cole eventually worked as a fashion design editor. Her works on SX-70 Polaroid film are achieved by heating and rubbing the initial photographs to physically push the chemicals around to achieve these stunning results:
